Client Helen Square has already had her HVAC and has funds leftover from the repair (had allotted the entirety of the $20,000). Her preferred method of contact is phone conversation. The client is now interested in getting a concreate slab in the back of her home, wants to get backsplash/tile for her kitchen, albumin siding on the lower part of the house and wants carport enclosed. In regard to tile for her kitchen she would like to use a family member as a contractor, but they have no formal training. Brian informed her that she would need to fill out a waiver of availability and Invest STL would have the final discretion in regard to if the contractor would be used.

Talked to client Helen Square and asked for an update in regards to her finding contractors that she wanted to work with. She said that she has someone in mind for the concrete work but has not reached out as of yet. She then informed me that she has someone currently working on the backsplash and the painting. She paid for the material out of pocket because she and the contractor were confused about the process but she is hoping to use her Rooted funds in order to pay for the labor. Since the contractor is not licensed and insured I informed her that we normally have clients and contractors sign a liability waiver before the process begins. I also informed her that to pay contractors we need a w-9. I then let her know that I would be sending an email with all the information she would need to submit to contractors in the future. I also let her know that she should expect a call from my supervisor Brian James with possible options regarding the contractor that has already begun work.

Talked with client Helen Square and she verified that she currently has two contractors doing work on her home. The client informed me that she has given all the contact information to Brian so we should have all we need as of right now. I then verified with her that she should have some money left over once her two contractors finished but she said that after these two project are done she would like to take some time to think about what she would like to be done left and it might be the spring before she begins another project. I let her know she should anticipate more communication from us because she will have contracts to sign. Completed By: AL

Spoke with client Helen Square and she confirmed that both contractors still have outstanding work to be done. One contractor has completed the porch along with the gutters but still has more work to be done. When I asked if she had an estimate on how much the work would cost, she said, “The contractor said that he would treat me as if I am his mother, so I don’t expect him to rob me”. She then said the person doing the kitchen has stopped until he can get more money for materials, and she mentioned numerous times how she would like the kitchen to be completed ASAP. I informed the client that I would speak to Brian so I could help expedite the process in any way I could.

Spoke with client Helen Square and she confirmed that both contractors still have outstanding work to be done. At this time, she is very upset that work in her kitchen is not being done. She says that she gets the same response every time she talks to someone from Park Central we say the same thing. I let her know that I would reach out to Brian to see what we can do to expedite the process. I also received the phone number of the contractor doing the kitchen 314-703-8371.
